So this past weekend I took a trip to Natchitoches, LA to second shoot for my first wedding. Let me start by saying I adore that town; it's gorgeous! So, I woke up that morning, got dressed, and headed out. On the trip up there, I realized how much I miss the country. When I finally reached the venue where the wedding would be held, I became REALLY excited! The wedding was at Sweet Cane Inn, which is a bed and breakfast (totally gorgeous). I knocked on the door, and the groom introduced himself for the first time. I explained that I was going to be the photographer's assistant/second shooter. After I met the soon-to-be bride and a few of the wedding guests, she headed upstairs to start getting ready for her big day. I have to stop here and say that this whole day was pretty much the most relaxing wedding day I have ever seen in my life. Suzy G and I are taking pictures of the rings, dress, shoes, details in the Bed and Breakfast, and the bride as she is getting her hair fixed. So, it finally becomes time for the wedding. I am taking pictures of the dad seeing his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress, and they are about to start walking down the stairs to where her groom is waiting. The host of the house then shows me how to go from the second story to the first through a back staircase (how cool is that?!). We then moved to the beautiful reception which was at The Landing. I have to say this couple was so sweet and such fun to take pictures of on their special day. Hope you enjoy a few of their pictures!
